This is my review of the Super Pet CritterTrail Revolution.
This cage is a lot of fun! As you can see, the hamster actually runs in the large wheel that makes up the cage. It’s quite amusing to watch although I would say that dwarf hamsters that are not full grown yet will have a hard time running because the cage wires are too large apart.
One thing to watch out for with this cage is the part of the cage where the large wheel hinges on, my hamster had a wonderful time chewing on the rubber part that makes the wheel run… so needless to say the wheel eventually did not spin the proper way and I was extremely worried that my hamster had swallowed rubber. Good news is the hamster is fine and I think he was just looking something to grind his teeth on… despite the presence of a salt wheel and some wooden chewing sticks.
- Affordability: $30 USD – quite affordable
- Ease of Assembly: Fairly easy
- Ease of Cleaning: Moderate – takes a little more work to disassemble and reassemble… and the wheel is quite awkward to wash
- Aesthetics: Looks great
- Durability: OK Durable – unless your hamster was like mine and chewed up the rubber wheel where the large wheel spins on.
