So I tried a cage like this one except that the second level platform was also the wire cage material.
I must admit that the cage seemed so small even for one dwarf-hamster (Maybe I just like spoiling them). I also got my hamster when he was a baby so the platform was very hard for him to stand on until he got bigger.
One huge problem as you would have guessed by now is that the bedding will be kicked out all around the cage in no time. I actually had to place one of those 24-can pop cardboard flats underneath to catch everything. I guess you get what you paid for.

- Ease of Assembly: Very simple, very few pieces
- Ease of Cleaning: Very easy
- Asthetics: Not very good looking
- Durability: Decent
